Ticho House, a subsidiary place of the Israel Museum at Jerusalem and focused on program events with artists in an initial career step, is presenting a series of big scale drawings from Israeli artist Roey Heifetz. The exhibition is part of the activities linked to the Sixth Biennale for Drawing at Israel and mostly presents artworks from the personal collection of the artist. Heifetz - born 1978, has been educated in fine arts at Israel and has been participating into abroad residencies at Miami and Berlin. With a traditional method based on pencil, charcoal and ink, Heifetz has developed an intricate style of portrait: the muscular ornamented faces are the center of the aesthetic of his drawings. It is like a need to unveil the human character through the roughness nature of muscles, to finally concrete the expressionism of the composition with the inclusion of crystalline eyes. They could be visual metaphors of modern human consciousness.

The expo runs until March 23, 2017.
